Residency Program

Beit Telmissany is located on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road in the Palm Oasis Compound, just 5 km from Sphynx International airport, 10 kilometers from the village of Abu Ghalib.

The site benefits from the tranquility and isolation of the desert countryside, providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is located in a safe gated environment, owned and managed by Dr. Yasser Telmissany since 2007.

The Beit features two guest rooms with a shared bathroom, a kitchen, an office, and the library of the prominent writer Edward El-Kharrat.

Writing spots are available outside the house, including the terrace, a bench area shaded by ancient mulberry trees, and a small courtyard overlooking the citrus garden.

Additionally, the Beit houses a special wing containing the Telmissany family library, which boasts over four thousand books.

The Beit can accommodate two writers at a time in separate rooms. Please note that friends, family members, and children are not permitted.

Residents will have access to free Wi-Fi and pre-prepared meals throughout their stay.
